Meet the Team
Lester P. Nosal
CPA
Les graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Emphasis in Accounting. Les has been working in the accounting industry for over 40 years in the Omaha area. He specializes in income tax planning and advising business clients on more profitable solutions. Les enjoys working closely with small and medium sized organizations in various industries both locally and nationally. He takes great pride and pleasure in seeing his clients become more successful.
Les has been married for 43 years, with two children and six grandchildren. He loves hiking, having trekked nearly 20,000 miles during his lifetime. He also yells a lot at his TV while watching Nebraska football or the Chicago Cubs.
Lindsay Tworek
CPA, CVA
Lindsay is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Valuation Analyst with more than 18 years of accounting and financial experience. A graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, she specializes in advising closely held businesses and their owners on tax, accounting, financial, and valuation matters. Throughout her career, Lindsay has served as a controller, director of finance, and internal auditor for organizations of varying sizes. This experience gives her a practical understanding of business operations, financial reporting, and the economic factors that drive business value.
Lindsay provides business valuation services for divorce matters, estate and succession planning, ownership transfers, shareholder and partner buyouts, and business purchases or sales. She works closely with business owners, attorneys, and other professional advisors, combining detailed financial analysis with clear, practical communication. Lindsay takes a proactive, year-round approach to client service and believes effective tax and financial strategies should evolve as a business grows and circumstances change.
Outside the office, Lindsay enjoys volunteering in the community and spending time with her family. She can often be found cheering on her two children at their various activities.
Christina Merrill
Christina attended Bellevue University where she graduated with honors earning her an MBA with a concentration in accounting. Christina started with Nosal Professional Group in 2000 and manages her clients’ accounting and software needs. Her experience includes payroll tax, sales tax, corporate income tax, financial statements, and various accounting software. She enjoys spending time with friends, family, and pets and makes time for exercise and relaxation.
Elizabeth Perez
Liz graduated with her BSBA in accounting from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Liz joined Nosal Professional Group in 2013, specializing in multi-state business income tax returns and handles the ACA filing. Liz is an Omaha native who has been working in the accounting field since 2008. In her free time, Liz enjoys spending time with her family and furry friends while learning about holistic wellness and exploring alternative health modalities.
Blake Horacek
Blake graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska at Omaha earning his Bachelor’s degree in business with an accounting focus. Blake joined our firm in 2012 and specializes in business income taxes, payroll taxes, and 1099 preparation. Blake also has extensive customer service experience, working closely with our clients to ensure their needs are always taken care of. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and pets and is an avid fan of exercise and basketball.
Steph Kopfle
Stephanie graduated from the Nebraska College of Business and received her Associate’s degree in accounting. Stephanie has 20 years of public accounting in the Omaha area and works closely with our clients on bookkeeping and payroll. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family and friends and cheering on the Nebraska Huskers Volleyball girls. She is also an avid dog lover and enjoys snuggles on the couch with Tucker and Cooper.
James Granger
James has an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a BSBA in accounting from Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska. He started working part-time for Nosal Professional Group in 2020. Jim has 25 years of diverse operation, financial reporting, budgeting and financial analysis experience, renewable energy and banking industries. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids.
Jenny Petersen
Jenny joined Nosal Professional Group team in 2000 and has over 40 years of administrative experience. She handles and oversees all administrative aspects of the firm, such as client billing, accounts payable, training, IT management, human resources and client relations as well as, providing administrative support to our small business teams. Jenny understands the important role an efficient and supportive administrative team is to the success of the firm. Outside the firm, you will find her with her husband of 43 years and their two golden retrievers visiting state parks. She also keeps busy reading and spending time with her kids and three grandchildren.
Alex Petersen
Alex graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelor’s degree in sociology. He started working for Nosal Professional Group in 2012. He manages the technology side of the firm, assisting with office projects and firm administration. Alex specializes in tax return processing, social media management, and technical support. He handles the training of our individual and small business clients on various software programs and procedures. Alex is committed to keeping a pulse on the current and upcoming technology in the accounting field. Alex enjoys playing golf, bike riding, reading, a good podcast, and watching movies. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, two kids, and two golden retrievers.
